This is part two of Michael and Hayden’s story. If you haven’t read ‘Beast’ you’ll still be able to enjoy this book but it won’t have the same meaning.
Michael chased Hayden away, but he can’t stop his need to protect her, even though he doesn’t feel he deserves her. He watches over her from afar until she’s attacked and he reveals himself again to her.
Hayden has worked hard to recover from the loss of Michael and having him show back up in her life two months later is heaven and hell. She’s never stopped loving him but knows she can’t survive if he walks away from her and the baby again.
The murder of his child still eats away at Michael. He’s been hurting for a long time and I really enjoyed seeing him start to live and love again with Hayden.
Hayden may have a target on her back but Michael will do anything to protect her and she’d do anything for him.
Jordan brings all their complex emotions to life, their pleasures as well as their pain as they grow and heal together. Great read.
