Blaze lost his daughter when his drug addicted ex crashed her car and vows to never give his heart away again, until he met Raven. He can’t stand to see her with anyone else and pull out the big guns to keep her for himself.
Raven is an assassin and when Blaze won’t commit, she’s not going to wait for him. She also has the gift for knowing things and those telling lies, which added a different twist to their story.
After running off her date, Blaze gets the drunk Raven to marry him and mark her as his. But trouble comes knocking when a hook-up claims to be pregnant with his baby and tries to get between Blaze and Raven.
I’m sorry to say I haven’t read the first two books in the series so I don’t have the background on these two but their chemistry is hot. Loved that these two were partners and she didn’t fall for the games a manipulative woman tried to play on Blaze. I didn’t really care for the ‘little bird’ references all the time and maybe that would have more meaning had I read previous books, but it just didn’t fit the strong, smart, take charge woman I was seeing.
