Tanner has loved Alexis since they were in high school but after being set up, she refuses to trust him again.

This is a fast paced read about a bi-racial couple that starts in their past and races to their current time. I liked Tanner a lot, he seemed bold and confident and determined to do what it would take to win Alexis once and for all. Alexis has this beautiful spirit but was easily manipulated, including the too stupid to live moments that ultimately put her in danger.

This story had great bones, steamy sex scenes but their were too many pockets of information left unexplained to let me let go and thoroughly enjoy their story. For instance, how did he get her to marry him?, why did he wait five years to finally take action? what had been going on during those five years that she worked for him? and on and on the questions went as I read 😦

Enjoyable read if you don’t look at the details too closely.
