Ryan Clooney comes from a huge, loving Irish family. He wants what the rest of his family has… someone to love, Ryan hopes he can find her after he creates some space from his family by buying a home of his own.
Maggie O’Malley lost the love of her life two years ago. She’s still struggling to get through each day. Everyone wants her to start living again but she just doesn’t see a path through her pain.
Maggie is flustered by her handsome new neighbor. He’s kind, understanding and insists on being neighborly. When Ryan meets Maggie, he knows she’s special. He will do anything to help her start living again and hopes she’ll take a chance on him.
Michael’s writes an achingly poignant, sweet love story. I felt Maggie’s bone deep grief, as well as the turmoil and eventual hope as she finally starts to live and love again. Ryan is a confident man that knows how to care for a woman and his willingness to stand by her side as she deals with the rollercoaster of grief was really touching. Add in a funny, loving boisterous family and you get a wonderful, feel-good romance that will leave you smiling in the end.
