Listened to audio narrated by Gary Furlong. He has a nice accent but every now and then it falls a bit flat.
Conran is the jack of all trades in the Buchanan family. He finds himself kidnapped to heal a laird and staying for a Lady.
Evina is desperate to find Rory Buchanan in hopes he can save her dying father. After a misunderstanding leads to Conran being knocked unconscious, she orders her men to take him back to their keep, not knowing she’s grabbed the wrong Buchannan.
This highland romance starts out fun and interesting, but then turns down a path of repetition and repackaging the same story as the previous books. I really liked Conran and Evina but the story bogs down and even getting to see past characters didn’t revive it.
