Series – The Kissing Creek

Main characters – Roman Walsh, Audrey Dorothy Miller

Audrey Miller is a barista and ‘hawker of spiritual wares.’ She gave up her own dreams to help raise her brothers and sisters after their father checked out, after their mother died. She’s smart and brainy, often spouting various facts and trivia, especially when she’s nervous. She also has a lot of negative inner monologue and assuming people think the worst of her.

Roman Walsh is a professor who transferred back to the U.S. to teach after his grandmother had a stroke. He’s ambitious, with plans to become and Ivy League professor and have his own books published. His work is his life until he meets Audrey. He has fears of abandonment after his mother walked out on him and his sister when they were young.

These two got off on the wrong foot after Audrey accuses him of impersonating college faculty and calling him a sex robot. Only to discover not only is he a professor he’s teaching her evening class.

This is a sweet, heart warming, small town romance of two people deeply hurt by their parents, hiding from life’s possibilities until they meet each other. They take a few bumps along the way to their happily ever after, but it’s Hallmark sweet by the end.

I received a free copy of this book and I’m voluntarily leaving a review. If you like my reviews I hope you will follow my blog.

Just finished it too. Loved the trivia parts, but it did tend to take over in some parts
