Main characters – Bobby ‘Romeo’ Decker, Deanna Hanover
Bobby ‘Romeo’ Decker is in his late forties and is a pilot and veteran, retired after serving as a Navy SEAL for twenty years. He lives at the Valhalla compound and Peter is his best friend. He’s all alpha and enjoys spanking for pleasure and to punish naughty little girls.
Deanna Hanover is a middle school teacher working on her Masters to shift into school administration. She is Peter’s much younger sister. She’s a planner, meticulously organized, smart and used to taking care of herself.
The Valhalla crew saved Deanna and her roommate from a Mexican sex-trafficking organization, they’ve brutally murdered her roommate and now they are hunting her. She goes into hiding with Bobby as one of her protectors, knowing that the sexy silver fox is interesting in her.
There’s a lot of tantalizing ideas in this age gap love story but Dee’s repeated risky, TSTL behavior and the odd lack of attentiveness from her protectors just doesn’t work for the storyline. I liked Bobby a lot, and I liked the Dee that I was initially introduced to, but I quickly became frustrated with her behavior and liked her less as the book continued. The author does a good job explaining Bobby’s kink and Dee’s consent to play, even if she isn’t entirely sure what she’s getting into. This was an okay read for me, I would have liked to see more depth, more tension, less TSTL moments and better editing to appreciate this book more.

-After seeing pictures of what happened to her roommate Dee leaves the safety of the safe house without telling anyone.
-After being chased from one safe house, while they are at another safe house they are surprised by a knock at the door…. why was no one watching?
