Brandon James Mercer is a gator shifter who was tricked by his uncle to work for him, only to be forced to become a lab experiment. He’s no longer the same gator shifter he once was. Controlled by threats to his family, now he calls himself a monster.
Aimi comes from a prestigious line of dragon shifters. She’s expected to live with her mother until a ‘proper’ match can be made. She’ll find a mate on her own terms even latching on to a strange shifter that smells like a dragon.
While there’s tension and danger, Aimi doesn’t take things too seriously and has a lot of fun teasing her soon to be mate if she can only get the mating consummated. They may be adults but it was hard to tell from their behavior and actions.
I like snarky and fun but this story slid more into immature and juvenile for me and if you forgot anything don’t worry it will be repeated many times.
