Series – Veterans of Valhalla

Main characters – Mitch Harvey Anderson aka Mace, Mia Shaw

Mace is a veteran who owns and runs Paws at Your Six, a K9 training center. He loves being a Daddy Dom as well as taking care of his people in Valhalla.

Mia Rose Shaw is a pediatric ICU nurse. She suffers from anxiety and panic attacks, that stem from the neglect and abuse from her parents. Mia pours out all the love and care she can to take care of the little ones in the ICU. She also loves bringing out her own little side to play with her Daddy Dom.

Mace has recently started seeing Mia and stepped up to be Mia’s Daddy Dom. They have some bumps along the way as they get closer, not only in their play but outside of it as well. But the love and caring are obvious between these two even if their kink may not be for everyone.

Woven in between their relationship is an outside threat to Valhalla, while there were no surprises it was interesting.

As I was reading it often felt like there were two writers, an adult writer that wrote engaging, and compelling story and a younger simplistic writer. The writing style change was distracting and left me with a very odd reading experience. The story clearly starts from where the first book in the series ended, but if you hadn’t read the first book you may be a little lost at the beginning and the ending cuts off abruptly. I think the author has some good ideas but needs a little more polishing.
